longtown 0- 7 ccity a{ won}
A very cold Sunday afternoon 2pm kick-off away to longtown.CITY A were up for this game right from the start ,with Oliver Cullen,Luke Westmorland and Ryan Mackenzie running the midfield.
Five minutes in and good team play by Steven Story and Mickey Dean Norman the ball broke to Ryan Mackenzie who with quick feet cracked the ball in to the top right corner,great goal ,keeper had no chance.
Longtown kept trying to push forward but they couldn't get past the exceptional Thomas Wilson in defence,Thomas cleared the ball around 10 mins in the first half and passed it to Oliver Cullen and with great skill passed to Jack Hewitt who scored the second goal of the match.Jack Hewitt got his second of the game just before half time.
Two second half subs came on for Oliver Cullen& Steven Story,they were Jordan Blacklock and Daniel Nugent.The two subs just took over the midfiled where Oliver& Steven had left.
Thomas Sheals in goal was only called upon once and he didn't let his team down,excellent save Thomas.Time after time Daniel Nugent took hold of the game and passed to Jordan Blacklock who was on fire and it wasn't long before he got his first goal of the match.In the next six minutes Jordan Blacklock had two more to complete his hat-trick{FANTASTICT}.
In the last minute Ryan Mackenzie went on a run down the left side ,he went passed three/four players passed to Mickey Dean Norman who tapped it in for number 7.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE PLAYERS ON SUCH A COLD DAY.

ABBEYTOWN 7-1 CARLISLE CITY A
MATCH REPORT:
City A kicked off the season with a hard trip away to Abbeytown,who last season were unbeaten.Within the first 3-4 minutes we were 3-0 down,but Ryan Mackenzie, Jack Hewitt and new player Luke Westmorland put in lots off hard work in the middle of the pitch , Jack's tackling was excellent .The team tried to break Abbeytown down but kept getting caught on the break,after 20 minutes we were 6-0 down ,Thomas Sheals in goal was great ,saving three or four good shots.
City A pushed forward with a good run by Jordan Blacklock who was fouled on the right , just about five yards outside the box.Luke westmorland stepped up and cracked the free-kick into the top right hand corner ,the abbeytown keeper didn't have chance{WHAT A GOAL}. !!!!!!!!
Abbeytown were too strong on the day and WELL DONE to the team and manager.
