Gilford Park U7 0 - 5 Carlisle City

City played a side who were unbeaten so far this season on a rainy Saturday morning and on a very muddy pitch. City dominated the majority of the game with Gilford on a few occasions having chances of their own. City's keeper, Josh Hope, had a magnificent game again and was able to deal with these chances extremely well.
Man of the match Sonny Hull and Alex Cairns were great in midfield with Cairns scoring the first two goals of the game. Not to be forgotten Luke O`Neil scored his his usual two goals before scoring an excellent third for his first hat trick which he struck from just inside the home teams half of the pitch.
Elliot Sharpley, Alex Witherington and Jason Cairns were solid in defence helping towards another clean sheet.
All in all another good day at the office for the boys with a good convincing win!

Carlisle City U7 2 - 2 Longtown

The boys came up against one of their toughest opponents of the season so far on Saturday, a team who like themselves were unbeaten but had drawn several more games than City!
Carlisle found themselves a goal down after only a couple of minutes which came as a shock to the boys system but it was on the cards as the lads seemed to be still half asleep! City stepped up to the plate and began to play their football which was shortly rewarded when Sonny Hull picked up a loose ball, ran down the right wing dispatching a great shot which beat the Longtown`s keeper to his left.
Longtown came back again and on a couple of occasions City could not keep them out of their box with corner after corner going the visitors way. Man of the match Josh Hope in goals put in another great performance controlling his defenders and took control of any loose balls that came his way.
The second half was as closely fought between the two teams as the first was and Longtown took the lead again following a goal line mix up by the City defenders.
A move five minutes later saw the best goal of the game being scored. Sonny Hull started it just inside the City half and began running down the left wing before completing an intelligent pass just inside of him to Luke O`Neil. Luke carried on the move and again played an accurate ball into the middle to Alex Cairns who beat a defender before striking a great shot. Longtown`s keeper who himself had an excellent match, made a good save to his left but Cairns had carried on his run, picked up the loose ball and placed it past the keeper at the narrowest angles!

The game finished all square which was the right result on the day but which found the managers with little finger nails left!

Kingstown U7 0 - 0 Carlisle City

Two equally matched sides met on Saturday morning in Belah. This was a close game with both sides playing some very good football but just unable to break the deadlock.
The majority of the game was fought in mid field with City`s defenders dealing with any attacks on their goal admirably. Man of the match, Luke O`Neil, played his socks off and was unlucky not to score.
The final whistle resulted in the correct score line for the day - well done to both teams!

Carlisle City U7 4 - 0 Carlisle City Whites
The Whites showed on Saturday morning at the Sheepmount how much they have improved since the beginning of the season with a great game of football. They matched City in midfield and up front in the first half which resulted in a very evenly matched first 15 minutes with no goals separating the two teams.
Half time saw man of the match Luke O`Neil, Sonny Hull and Jamie Brooker enter the field of play and all three made an immediate impact with City`s midfield and forward play.
O`Neil scored his usual two goals with one each from Hull and Josh Berry.
The final score failed to reflect the hard work and standard of play from both teams but especially the Whites who if they carry on improving at this rate will get to a standard where they can compete against any team in this division!

Harraby U7 0-2 Carlisle City

The boys played their most physical game of the season so far against a strong Harraby team on Saturday morning. The first half was evenly matched with chances going both ways and at half time no goals were scored by either side.
Half time did the trick and the boys started with more purpose which paid off with a goal from man of the match Jason Cairns after five minutes however the goal of the game came from Sonny Hull who picked up the ball just inside Harraby`s half and started a run which saw him pass three or four players down the right wing before eventually dispatching a shot which beat the keeper.
Harraby came back at City and won a penalty with minutes to go however Josh Hope showed why he has conceded only 5 goals this season and with 6 clean sheets out of 8 games!

Carlisle City U7 2 - 0 Northbank

City played a much improved Northbank team on Saturday morning at the Sheepmount since both teams last met in a one sided pre season friendly. This produced a very close and well fought match which many of the spectators didn't want to finish.
The 2 winning goals came in the first half and were both scored by Luke O`Neil who ran his socks off to maintain 2 goals scored in 6 out of 7 games played! Sonny Hull was again excellent in mid field and deserved his man of the match award.
Northbank came back at City in the second half and had several chances of their own but Josh Hope in the City goal was keen to keep his 5th clean sheet of the season.
An excellent game played by two good sides.

Warwick Wanderers U7s 0 - 8 Carlisle City

The City boys dominated this game from start to finish and produced some great football the level of which at times you would have expected from an older team!
The ball was moved about to players who constantly moved into space and the defence kept their discipline staying in position and marking the Wanderers forwards.
City`s keeper, Josh Hope, had a very quiet game but the one time he was required he pulled off an excellent save.
Goals from Luke O`Neil x 2 (and man of the match), Alex Cairns x 2, Jamie Brooker x 2, Josh Berry and Jay Cairns gave City there 4th clean sheet out of 6 games played!

Carlisle City U7 7 v 0 Dalston JBR

After a slow start City got back into the game and began passing the ball about against an up and coming Dalston side.
There were solid performances from every player but man of the match went to Josh Berry for the first time this season.
Another convincing result with goals from Sonny Hull x 2, Luke O`Neil x 2, Alex Cairns x 2, Josh Berry and an unfortunate own goal following an excellent cross into the box from Jamie Brooker.

Cotehill & Cumwhinton U7 3 - 3 Carlisle City U7

City met their toughest opposition of the season away to Cotehill who went ahead early in the game following an error in defence between a City defender and his keeper.
In terrible conditions City worked their way back into the game and equalised through Luke O`Neil just before the break.
The second half saw Cotehill make several attacks on the City goal two of which resulted in a goal, both from defensive errors with one an own goal!
City again took a grip of themselves and started playing the football that they are used to playing and O`Neil scored his second goal.Goal of the game came from Sonny Hull who took a loose ball just inside his own half and went on a run past several Cotehill players, with both manager and assistant shouting at him to pass, before unleashing a shot from outside the area which left the away keeper watching it fly past him in the left hand corner.
At 3-3 City were very unlucky not to have been awarded a penalty with less than 30 seconds left on the clock when a pass in Cotehills goal area saw the away defender throw out a hand and stop the ball dead in its tracks!
The referee judged ball to hand with their own manger stating that they were lucky with that decision!!!!
A good draw leaving City still unbeaten in their first season.

Carlisle City U7 7 - 2 Carlisle Spartans

City secured their third successive league victory of the season with a tough little match against a battling Spartans side.
The first goal of the game went City's way but the Spartans came back with pressure on City's goal. An unfortunate own goal after Elliot Sharpley passed back to his keeper which found the back of the net, squared the game.
Justice prevailed when after 30 seconds Sharpley struck a lovely low shot just outside the Spartans goal area and saw it nestle in the bottom left of the net.
City went from strength to strength and finished the game off with a comfortable win with goals from Luke O`Neil x2, Sonny Hull x 2, Jamie Brooker x 2 and Elliot Sharpley.
