POSTED 6th DECEMBER 2009

Carlisle City under 11's played against Edenvale yesterday at the Sheepmount and in quite difficult conditions they played some excellent football. The score was 12 -1 to City with goals coming from Luke Moore 3, Kieran Mason 2, Callum Gawith 1, Conor Keyes 6. Man of the match was awarded to Kieran Mason. Kieran controlled the game and had a hand in everything that was good for City.

Today we played at Hammonds Pond against Gilford Park, again the pitch was very heavy which made it difficult to play through the middle for both teams. Carl;isle City picked up from where they left off yesterday and after going a goal behind, City played some great football. The score ended up 8 - 1 to City which is a great result as Gilford are one of the best teams in the league. The scorers for City were Luke Moore 3,( Luke s 2nd hatrick 2 games running) Keanan Foster 1, Conor Keyes 1, Seth Wright 1, Callum Gawith 1 and James Fisher 1. Man of the match was awarded to Keanan Foster who had an excellent game in the heart of defence and scored an absolute screamer from well outside the box.

POSTED 2nd MARCH 2009

On Sunday, Carlisle City under 10's played Upperby Park at the Sheepmount and won 2 1. City were probably fortunate to win this game, but the team battled really well especially in the 2nd half to deny Upperby the chance of adding to their goal.
City's first goal was scored by Keanan Foster with a great solo effort running the full length of the pitch before scoring with his left foot . Keanan was partnered by James Fisher in defence and along with Alex Armstrong in goal, they kept Upperby Park at bay. City's 2nd goal was scored by Callum Gawith who finished really well in a packed penalty box. Man of the match was awarded to Keeper Alex Armstrong who was outstanding in goal.
