The girls had an early start for this 10.30 kick off as it was at Egremont. There were four girls missing from the squad but the girls who played did themselves and Carlisle City proud. City were the better team for most of this game but couldn't convert one of the numerous chances they created and even missed a last minute penalty. City U12 girls beat Yewdale by three goals to one in the first round of the league cup.

All did not start off well as City conceed an early goal, but as the half went on City gradually started to get into the game. They were trailing at half time by that solitary goal but at the start of the second two goals by Ellie Richardson gave City the upper hand, Alex Hurst scored the third to make the game safe.

The whole team was given girl of the game, and it was good to see the determination and fighting spirit from all the girls after the early set back.

Yesterday at the sheepmount our u12 girls beat Harraby C.C. in the first round of the County Cup by six goals to two. The girls scored the first goal after thirty seconds after a flowing passing move ending with Alex Hurst turning and slotting the ball into the net.

Harraby got back on level terms not long after before goals from Katie Adams, from outside the box, Ellie Richardson and a own goal gave us a four- one interval lead.

Harraby scored after the break to reduce the defici. With the score at four-two Holly Walker cleared off her own goal line which sent us straight up the pitch for Hurst to net her second. Girl of the game Alex Hurst completed her hat-trick soon after to put the result beyond doubt. Well done to all the girls in what was a proper team effort.
